5G: Know Everything About Fastest Networks

5G: Know Everything About Fastest Networks

What is 5G?

The networks 5G are the next generation connectivity of mobile internet which offers us faster speeds and more reliable connections on smart phones and other devices than ever before. The very latest research shows that 5G networks should offer connections that are multitudes faster than current connection, with average download speed of around 1GBps expected to soon be the norm.

This type of network will help power a huge rise in internet technology, which provide the infrastructure needed to carry huge amounts of data, allowing for a smarter and more connected world. With the development underway and test are already live across the world, 5G networks are expected to launch the world by 2020.

In the US, Verizon launching its5G network at the start of April 2019, making it the first globally to offer the next generation network. 5G network currently only available in limited parts of Chicago and few other locations and there are just two handsets currently available to use the 5G network.

In Chicago the 5G network managed to obtain speeds of up to 1.4GBps, which is massively faster than 4G’s network (the average speeds tend to be below 100MBps).

What kinds of 5G phones are available in market?

In coming year 2019, a number of 5G phone will be announced, however only a handful of mobiles are currently available, and the choice is further limited by country and carrier. In US , Motorola’s 5G Moto Mod Provides next generation connectivity to a select few Moto Z handsets and the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G is also available. In UK there are five 5G compatible phones are available; the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, Oppo Reno 5G, OnePlus 7 pro 5G, Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G and the LG V50 ThinQ 5G.

The Speeds of 5G networks will vary between locations, countries, carriers and devices, but on the whole the average internet speed of 5G should be much greater than that of 4G network.

Abu Dhabi’s $870 million Largest Solar Projects has started its commercial operation. This solar power plant project will conduct by the Emirates Water and Electricity Company. The Emirates Water and Electricity Company Announced the 8 sq. kilometer, 3.2 million solar panel Noor Abu Dhabi power plant as the world’s single largest solar project.

The meaning of Noor in Arabic means light, something which the new solar power project will make plentiful use of to brighten up people’s homes. The Noor Abu Dhabi solar power plant will product approximately 1.2 gigawatts of electricity that can provide the demand of electricity around 90,000 people.

The Solar Star power plant in Rosamond, California commissioned in 2015 is the US biggest solar project spread over an area of 13 sq. km that uses 1.7 million solar panels to generate 579 megawatts of electricity, equivalent to provide 255,000 homes in US.

This project Noor Abu Dhabi plant is a joint venture between the Abu Dhabi Government and a consortium of Japan’s Marnubeni Corp and China’s Jinko Solar Holding. “After completion of this project marks a significant milestone in the UAE’s energy strategy 2050, launched in 2017, to increase the contribution of clean energy in the total energy mix to 50% by 2050 also in reducing the carbon footprint of power generation by 70%” as said by Mohammad Hassan Al Suwaid, Chairman of EWEC.

“We are very grateful to deliver the world’s largest solar PV independent power project into full commercial operations within budget and on schedule time, and we appreciate the leadership of EWEC and the support of our other business partners in this achievement”  as said by  Yoshiaki Yokota, Marubeni Corp COO of the Power Business Division. Further this project will represent a significant milestone not only for UAE’s, but for the global solar industry and for the future of renewable energy.

Although the country is still mostly oil dependent, this kind of developments would ultimately have a positive impact on global emissions and shows the intent of changing towards a sustainable future through renewable solar energy.
